SILVER FILMS is a Swedish production company founded in 2017 by producer Anna Byvald. Based in Gothenburg, the company develops and produces high-quality films with international potential, collaborating with directors who bring a distinctive artistic voice and a strong cinematic vision. Working across borders, Silver Films focuses on artist-driven projects that challenge conventions and expand the possibilities of cinematic storytelling. The company is committed to bold, original work and to building creative collaborations with filmmakers and producers around the world. Before founding Silver Films, Byvald established Silverosa Film in 2006. Across both companies, she has produced and co-produced more than 30 films. These works have been selected for leading international festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival, Berlinale, Rotterdam International Film Festival, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, SXSW, Hot Docs, Visions du Réel, CPH:DOX, DMZ Docs, Mar del Plata International Film Festival and Göteborg Film Festival. Her productions have received numerous awards, including two Guldbagge Awards, Sweden’s national film prize.

Anna Byvald is a member of EAVE and the European Film Academy. Her latest releases include LUST, directed by Ralitza Petrova, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and received the Best Director Award at the Sofia International Film Festival, as well as the Special Jury Award at the Bulgarian Academy Awards.
